Raised in a children's home in Tokyo and became the first person from the Japanese children's home to graduate from Harvard. Struggled academically in junior high, with mostly failing grades, and graduated from a technical high school. Faced significant life challenges, including marriage, divorce, and poverty, and pursued studies abroad with no prior English proficiency. Graduated from a Public Ivy school, declined offers from Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania for graduate studies, and earned a degree from Harvard. Now a trilingual speaker of English, Spanish, and Japanese, and a permanent resident in both Mexico and Peru.<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Moto Garcia was born into a household with a single mother living in poverty, often spending time alone due to her mother's night job. During the 3rd and 4th grades of elementary school, he experienced truancy and a life of poverty. Later, he engaged in delinquent behavior and received psychiatric counseling. In upper elementary school, he was forcibly moved to Child Protective Services and then to the children's home, separated from his mother. While living in the children's home in Tokyo, he struggled with poor academic performance and behavioral issues, but with the support of an understanding high school homeroom teacher, he graduated from high school.<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

After graduating from high school, he experienced marriage, divorce, and the loss of child custody, leading to a state of depression. However, he decided to transform his life by studying abroad in the United States. Initially, without English skills, he eventually transferred to the University of Minnesota after putting in significant effort, graduating while working in Mexico and Peru. Later, he was accepted into three Ivy League schools and studied a leadership and entrepreneurship program at Harvard Graduate School, graduating in 2024. During this time, he mainly took EdTech and business courses. Currently based in the U.S., Mexico, and Peru, he is launching multiple startups and working as a social entrepreneur to support low-income families, individuals from children's homes, and communities with high crime rates.<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
